Summary
The research I’ve helped with while working as a part-time Research Assistant at Hong Kong University has finally been published. I’ve made some minor contributions in specimen collection field work as well as providing a photo of the loach itself which was used in the papers. It made me very happy.
The papers are titled “Ecological genetics of isolated loach populations indicate compromised adaptive potential” and “Chromosome-level haplotype-resolved genome of the tropical loach (Oreonectes platycephalus)”. Both are very interesting, please read it if you are at all interested in evolution, genetic diversity, or fish!
